Frank Owen threw an eight hit shutout as the White Sox snapped their two game miniskid. Owen struck out one and walked three.
The White Sox scored their four runs on only four hits and their patience at the plate had just as much to do with them getting the win. With five walks, three of the White Sox who scored didn’t reach on a hit. Bill O’Neill had two hits and Billy Sullivan had a hit and he scored a run.
