From Joe Jackson to Frank Thomas, A Look at the Chicago White Sox, Both Past and Present

Trying to get back on track with their offense, the Sox seemed to go backwards with a 5-0 loss to the San Diego Padres. Wilfredo Ledezma started the game for the Padres and dominated the entire White Sox lineup. Ledezma went four innings and only gave up two hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Ledezma brought his spring ERA down to .82. Jerry Owens and Joe Crede led the way for the Sox with two hits each, only four other players got on base with a hit. John Danks started the game for the White Sox and got hammered early giving up three runs in the first inning before settling down. Danks pitched five innings giving up four hits, four earned runs and a home run. Danks also struck out eight in the losing effort. Once again the Sox did not take advantage when they had runners in scoring position and continued their offensive struggles. Tomorrow the Sox take on the Colorado Rockies and look to end their offensive woes.
