From Joe Jackson to Frank Thomas, A Look at the Chicago White Sox, Both Past and Present

Getting no love from across town, the Sox were beaten once again by the Cubs by a score of 7-1 as the Cubs completed the sweep of the Sox at Wrigley Field. The Sox have now lost a season high nine games in a row at home and need to get back on track to keep their lead in the AL Central. Javier Vazquez had an average day on the mound completing six innings and giving up five hits and five runs along with five walks and four strike outs. However, with no home runs and only two doubles on the day, one run was the most the Sox offense could put on the board to help Vazquez out. Going against a team as good as the Cubs, that is just not going to get it done. Despite out hitting the Cubs by two, the Cubs proved they were the better team by showing they could generate some runs regardless of what their bats were doing. Also, for being out hit, the Cubs still managed to put up six more runs than the Sox, Ozzie needs to address this issue immediately and get the Sox bats back on track. The Sox start a three game series Tuesday against the LA Dodgers on the road and hope to end their away losing streak.
