April 18, 1906 at Bennett Park
Tigers 3, White Sox 2 (1-1)
This game was pretty much even. Both team had eight hits and both committed two errors. Tiger starter Ed Siever was a just a bit better then Ed Walsh though. Siever scattered his hits through the various innings and je only once gave up two hits in an inning. Walsh was tagged for two runs in the bottom of the fourth that mostly resulted from his own throwing error. Other then that, Walsh was very effective. Outside of the fourth inning, he never yielded a baserunner before he had two outs.
Frank Isbell and George Rohe both had two hits and Jiggs Donohue and Fielder Jones scored the two runs. Rohe drove in both of the White Sox runs.
