White Sox Drop Exhibition Opener

Scott Podsednik, for all the grief I’ve given him, went three for three today in the White Sox spring opener. In fact, left fielders really cashed in because Sweeney player out there and went two for two. Nothing like a combined 5 for 5 from your leftfielder/lead off hitters.

Damasco Marte was roughed up, giving up two runs in sixth, and Felix Diaz gave up four runs in the ninth. Tadahito Iguchi went 0 for 2 in his American debut.

Tomorrow the Sox play the Diamondbacks.
