White Sox 5, Browns 4 (6-5)
Down 4-3 heading into the top of the eighth, the White Sox rallied and scored twice to take the lead. For whatever reason, the box score ends after eight innings so the rally was effectively in the final inning of the game.
Fielder Jones had three hits and a run and Bill O’Neill singled, doubled and scored twice. Frank Owen went the distance en route to the win and he gave up four runs on eight hits and three walks with one strikeout.
